| Pretty hectic hours since last entries

Went to Cepage and The Drawing Room (TDR) in last month or so.
1. TDR - great food, but the dinner menu sort-of lacking surprise. Couldn't really recall what I had… the theme of fig for both antipasti and dolce. The primi piatti (some kind of ravioli) was great.
Decent decor; the restaurant manager is friendly; sommelier is OK (didn't really drink much there).
TDR is clearly better than Nicholini's/ Grissini's (at least as compared to my last visits) and way better than Tuscany by H, which I firmly believe is overpriced
2. Cepage - great food but again with no surprise; OK decor; the sommelier was good - a big plus; but the restaurant manager is ... strange.
Felt about the same as Spoon by Alain Ducasse when I dined like 3 year ago. Haven’t dined in other fine-dining French restaurants in HK.. but Chez Tomo in Tokyo is a better than Cepage at a different level.
On the balance, food of TDR is better than that of Cepage, but quite close. Despite being served in a French restaurant, Cepage’s petite four was a bit disappointing vis-a-vis TDR's.
In the just published Michelin's Guide 2011.. TDR lost its star while Cepage keeps it.. maybe it's due to the great wine offerings? hard to imagine otherwise

Was in Boston/ NYC in Sep. Got a good discount for Chicago the musical. Enjoyed the trip. Definitely a good break.

| Moved on. Interesting stuff though hours have been hectic.
Had my first ever day trip to Taipei - 8am flight and 6pm flight back, then slept for like 1.5 hours and had a conf call running at midnight

Went to Tokyo again early May (>2 months ago).
Great food. Went to Chez Tomo and Esaki, both of which were very good and reasonably priced (I'd actually say those are cheap).

In mid-May, looked for an apartment for like 2 weeks. Having looked into many places - TST, Hung Hom, Olympiad, CWB, Happy Valley, North Point, Quarry Bay, Sheung Wan, Kennedy Town.
Settled here for like 1.5 months. Pretty ok though not a prefect place. Continue enjoying living out.
